It’s nice to see you coming out to the Syracuse area. Will definitely come out and support you there as well.

Hi Rachel,
Bet I surprised you! I am almost done reading The Long Way Home. You really are a great writer and I am thrilled to say that I truly enjoyed your book! You now I am a retired English teacher so I had a certain amount of fear…. what would I say if I really thought the book was only so-so!??? I hated grading when I was a teacher, but I can say with a clear conscience that you deserve an outstanding grade for style, character development, and overall integrity as a writer and person.
I had to look up a lot of terms, names through Google so you expanded my horizons. I am a feminist at heart, did a paper a couple of years ago on feminist art you might enjoy, also have a couple of feminist art books you may borrow. I read Sue’s philosophy as a teacher and also want to talk to her about my own philosophy and teaching experiences… we have much in common. I didn’t teacher with sexual identity in mind but encouraged searching and self-understanding and incorporated psychology and understanding grief into my 12th grade curriculum.
See you in church!!!
Great photo of the three of you!!!
Wow, thanks Rosie. I am beyond thrilled that you liked The Long Way Home! I’m also happy that you took the time to look up some of the references, I was hoping people would do that! I bet you were great teacher.
